Everything Weather

My project was based on a computer program by Sunburst.  This gave students valuable information about weather conditions.  Students were involved in hands on activities.  Each student made weather instruments that were used to record and forecast the weather.  The students were involved in these activities throughout the year.  The project was divided into Four Units:

• Unit I:   Elements of the Weather
• Unit II:  Pressure and Wind
• Unit III: Clouds and Precipitation
• Unit IV: Storms
• Unit V:  Open Ended Research Related to Weather

The students were assessed using a weather portfolio, learning log, word journal, pre and post test, and various rubrics.

All students gained in their knowledge of the weather.
