Our Writing Curriculum is based on the Illinois Standards and the Six Traits of Writing.

We sometimes work in small groups and use various quality tools such as: brainstorming, affinity, and lotus diagram.
 
 
 
 

We often use our writer's handbook, when we are working on a piece of writing.
 

Dictionaries and a thesaurus are always available to us.
 

We often use the Internet to find information on their writing topic. Sometimes we highlight, take notes, and record information in our journals. We also use the computer to publish our final writing pieces.
